Getting started

To run your video there are two approaches, with the latter being highly experimental but equally efficient.

1. Rendered video

Image sequence

Render your video as an image (PNG or JPG) sequence, preferably in a cloud-stored zip file for easy download to the master computer controlling projectors.

If your file is 8K or more than 50 gb, it is advised to use Splitter. Else you can play it directly in C-Play, provided the video file is in the same path on all nodes.

JPG vs PNG sequence

JPG sequences offer faster rendering and smaller file sizes due to compression, while PNG sequences preserve higher image quality with lossless transparency but are heavier and slower to process.

2. Playback from Resolume

Technically, it would be possible to use any NDI wrapper but Resolume has been tested with great results. It is advised to convert the file to DXV prior to playback. This can be done on the Master Computer using Alley.
